The music of the cosmos is a great vibration that underlies the whole creation. Every action, every emotion, every word is a note that is in harmony with it or not, generating that song we call life.
Mattia Petullà was born in Catanzaro on the 5th of December 1981.
He graduates in Science of the Media Communication. In 2001 he is one of the founders of “OrfeoTv” a mediativism experience.
He works as a videomaker in different kind of projects. In 2004 he works with the authors of a dance videoperformance presented in Berlin at the Transmedial Festival and in 2006 he's co-author of the installation "Metamedium" at the Centre of contemporary art in Rotterdam.
In 2008 he starts a fruitful and continuous collaboration with Maxman, a documentaries production company set in Bologna as an editor. He also starts working with the independent production company Elenfant Film (www.elenfant.com) as an editor and a director of photography. Along with Adam Selo he leaves for Mexico where he is in charge of the photography for the documentary "Playing Maruata" and the short movie “Ramiro”. As an editor he works on various projects, from the documentary "Medusa", produced by Maxman, to the medium-lenght film "Mesmer Vacuum" by Teatrino Clandestino, an important Italian avant-gard theatre company.
Between 2008 and 2009 he directs his first short movie “La conquista dell’America”, selected at the 27th Torino Film Festival 2009 and at Visioni Italiane 2010. With Elenfant Film in 2012 he directs "E Berta filava", short film winner of the Riace Festival in 2012 and selected in different festivals worldwide, among which Tous Courts in Aix en Provence.
At the moment he lives in Bruxelles and he works to his first full lenght movie "LAND IN SIGHT", produced by CVB – Centre Vidéo de Bruxelles.
